Straw Characteristics
In additon to Primus' impressive yield it has very good lodging resistance and stem stiffness. At 155cm it is one of the shortest hybrids available making it easier to manage at harvest and providing good lodging resistance.

Agronomy
Primus shows good resistance to stem canker and light leaf spot which is important with tighter oilseed rotations. Primus has mid-early flowering and medium - early maturity.

Primus is supplied in unit packs (3ha) containing 1.5million germinating seeds, which equates to a sowing rate of 50 live seeds/m2. Seed rates will vary with seedbed conditions and establishment plant losses over winter.
