DSV varieties are available with the full range of seed treatments which include Cruiser, Modesto and Chinook. However DSV particularly recommend the use of modern, premium treatments with the advantage of superior pest and disease control such as Cruiser or Modesto.

Cruiser Seed Treatment

Cruiser seed treatment is new for 2009 in the UK. Cruiser protects plants from a broad spectrum of seed,soil and foliar insects to help get crops off to a healthy, vigorous start.

Modesto Seed Treatment

Modesto seed treatment has been developed by Bayer CropScience to improve crop establishment, pest control and yield in winter oilseed rape.

• Covers a wider range of pest treatments

Chinook Seed Treatment 

Chinook has been one of the most widely used seed treatments in the UK. The product is a combination of two insecticides designed to prevent early pest damage to oil seed rape, giving more uniform crop establishment and an increased yield. 

• Reduces severity of flea beetle damage

• Controls cabbage stem flea beetle with good control of early adult damage and reduced larval attack

• Reduces the threat of crop failure; saves the cost of re-sowing and risk of having to manage a late drilled crop

• Reduces aphid numbers and aphid borne BWYV
