Cereals Event - 15th and 16th June 2011
DSV will be displaying a wide variety portfolio at the Cereals event at Boothby Heath
near Lincoln this year. Although better known for their OSR portfolio in the UK, breeders DSV
are delighted to be able to launch their first winter wheat to UK farmers at this year’s
event.
The stand has been designed to present new oilseed rape production techniques to growers.
There will be demonstrations on how to improve yields of crops, as well as further information on
breeding techniques.
Specialists will be presenting ideas on thousand grain weight versus kilo per hectare sowing
rates and different row spacing drilling methods.
DSV will also exhibiting our exciting new root demonstration which allows visitors to see the
root profile of a rape plant through the soil so well as showcasing our new ‘benefits of hybrids’
animated film which will be shown on a big screen inside the tent.
Following the continued success of market leading spring oilseed rape Ability, DSV will be
launching their first ever spring hybrid Makro which since its introduction into the trialing
system in 2009 has been the highest yielding variety each year.
Staff from DSV will be on hand to give advice on how to get the best out of crops, with
information on up and coming varieties to look out for which include our new shorter and early to
mature hybrids Primus, Climber and Record. BASIS points will also be available from the
stand.
