Since the mid 1990s, the cultivation of white lupin has rapidly decreased in Germany and other countries in Central Europe because of the fungal disease anthracnose. In collaboration with our breeding partner the development of new varieties with improved resistance is our target. The first anthracnose tolerant variety FRIEDA got registered in 2019 in Germany.
