DSV's new phomablocker oilseed rape variety Cognac tops the AHDB one-year harvest results published on 6th August at 110% of controls - some 3% higher than the variety in second spot

With results from seven sites now in, the results show DSV Cognac achieving yields of up to 114% of controls in some regions, explains DSV's Sarah Hawthorne.

"Candidate listed DSV Cognac combines the LepR1 and RLM7 phoma resistance genes to provide fully integrated resistance," she explains.

"As well as this exceptional phoma performance, DSV Cognac adds verticillium wilt tolerance and TUYV resistance alongside high yield and oil content.

"It also features powerful autumn growth and high spring vigour to defend against adult flea beetles and larvae with strong pods and pod shatter resistance giving growers confidence in its performance even during challenging years.

'It's a variety we think is going to be a top performer for many years to come."
