Profile
SENDERO is one of DSV's new promising diploid Italian ryegrass varieties, being well recommended on both German and English recommendation lists. In addition to above-average yields, it is characterized by particularly good rust resistance, winter hardiness and high early growth development. This results from SENDERO being developed from a sward-selection of fusarium-resistant plants with high regeneration vigour. On the England and Wales RGCL list, it shows an outstanding early spring growth of rel. 108. Thus, in long growing seasons SENDERO gives opportunity for ‘early-bite’ grazing followed by leafy hay or silage cut. Furthermore, SENDERO is very digestible.
