Dompteur is the highest-yielding variety on the new 2026/27 Winter Oilseed Rape Recommend List. It has performed exceptionally well across a range of trial sites and conditions.This will be the second variety in DSV’s portfolio to feature the new phoma blocker trait. Dompteur combines two complex phoma resistance genes, RLMS and RLM7, which provide the plant with added protection against varying phoma strains.
Dompteur delivers exceptional gross output alongside high oil content and a comprehensive agronomic package, including pod shatter resistance, dual phoma resistance and TUYV protection. It delivers a UK gross output of 107% of controls, rising to 108% in the North, with an oil content 46.3%, putting it firmly at the top of all current varieties.
Like the rest of the DSV portfolio Dompteur carries the TuYV protection. In addition to its high yield and oil content, Dompteur has the pod shatter resistance gene, offering growers extra protection at harvest and helping to reduce the volunteer burden. Dompteur scores an 8 for light leaf spot resistance and has proven to score well in Verticillium Wilt trials throughout Europe.
It exhibits strong autumn growth dynamics and excellent spring vigour, which helps it recover from potential late attacks by various pests, including pigeons. It is relatively early flowering, but not so early as to risk damage from early frosts. With a mid-early maturity score, Dompteur ensures an early and even harvest while achieving high yields and an impressive oil content.
