Profile
MOVANNA is DSV UK’s most consistent forage and AD variety. This vigorous, mid-harvest performer has a very robust agronomic package with excellent standing power and resistance to fusarium and eyespot, all of which means a healthy plant, even if harvest is delayed.
MOVANNA is listed as suitable for Very Favourable sites from the NIAB / BSPB data and is ideal for forage and AD. It is a tall, dark green variety, which has increased its popularity with biogas growers.
With proven performance on-farm and in independent BSPB/NIAB trials, MOVANNA is a later intermediate type, which is ideal for spreading the harvest and/or drilling window. It is a stiff plant with a low percentage score for lodging (1.9%). This variety’s excellent vigour (7.1) supports rapid growth at the start of the season that culminates in high dry matter yields at harvest (19.5t/ha).
-
High starch yields
-
Good cold tolerance
-
Very good practical experience in organic farming
