Winter Oilseed Rape

DARLING has shown that it can deliver high Gross Output (100%) and high  Oil Content (46.0%), keeping its spot on the AHDB Recommended List.  DARLING has now been grown on UK farms for over 3 years and proven to  be a firm favourite. It also has good agronomic features with an upright  canopy that demonstrates no weakness to lodging (8) and a strong Stem  Stiffness score (8) from a medium – tall variety, standing at 153cm.

DAZZLER is a triple layered variety from DSV that has a high Gross Output and Oil Content data for the East / West Regions on the latest Recommended List

DUKE is a new variety that is already registered in several European countries including France and Poland. It has been trialled and tested extensively in the UK during the past two years.

DART joined the new AHDB Recommended List in 2022. It is a very high  yielding variety performing particularly well in the East and West regions.  DART has consistently performed well in UK trials, with its parents having  been particularly adapted to the UK climate and growing conditions.

DUPLO is one of DSV’s flagship triple-layer varieties, combining top yields  with three important traits from DSV. Just added to the AHDB Candidate List, DUPLO has been fast tracked to the UK market due to its exceptional vigour. DUPLO having highest vigour of any of DSV’s Triple Layered varieties in both autumn and spring. DUPLO has performed well all across Europe and the whole of the UK in all conditions, proving it is a very robust variety.

Churchill, the winter oilseed variety, is a game-changer for growers.  Developed by DSV, it is one of the first phoma blocker varieties from DSV  with both RLM7 and RLMs resistance mechanisms to stem canker, offering  the ultimate protection and reduced risk of breakdown.

DSV DOLPHIN joined the AHDB Recommended List in January 2024 and marks another significant step forward in DSV’s wide portfolio. DSV DOLPHIN has the ability to produce high yields, performing particularly well in the East and West regions. Its reliability- being simple to grow with a high output is especially developed for the current economic and environmental climate. DSV DOLPHIN has strong tolerance to Verticillium Wilt as well as having some of the best tolerance to Sclerotinia DSV’s portfolio. It was one of the best varieties in DSV’s trials in Sweden.

COGNAC is the first variety in the UK to carry the new Phoma Blocker trait. Phoma blocker combines two complex Phoma resistance genes. LepR1 and  RLM7, where previously the phoma resistance mechanism worked with one lock and one key, now to break the chain, the disease has to break through  two locks with one key.
